Uncle Buck Coming To TV

ABC has picked up the 1989 John Hughes comedy Uncle Buck reboot. The series will star Mike Epps as Buck, "a fun loving but irresponsible guy who needs a job and a place to stay," and finds both when he becomes a full-time babysitter for his nieces and nephew.

Nia Long, James Lesure, Iman Benson, Sayeed Shahidi and Aalyrah Caldwell will be co-starring in this new ABC venture, which is expected to be given a mid-season premiere.

John Candy starred in the original Uncle Buck comedy with Macaulay Culkin, Gaby Hoffmann and Jean Louisa Kelly.
