It's A Girl....Royal Baby Finally Here

It's a princess! The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth May 2 to an healthy baby girl according to Kensington Palace. The princess, who's name has not been released, was born at 8.34am this morning weighing 8lbs 3oz, with Prince William present for her birth.

Kensington Palace announced her arrival shortly after 11am, some five hours after Kate was admitted to the private Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington.

The Duchess and her newborn daughter are both 'doing well', a Kensington Palace spokesman said. The royal baby is sister to Prince George who was born on July 22, 2013. The princess is fourth in line to the throne that's behind her grandfather Charles, the Prince of Wales; her father, Prince William and her big brother, Prince George.

The public is likely to get its first view of the princess when Kate and William leave the hospital.
