"Empire" has a new romance in the works -- off set, that is. Co-stars Grace Gealey and Trai Byers are dating. The pair hit it off almost immediately after they first met while making the hit FOX series..
“They started seeing each other during the shooting of the show. There was an instant attraction, people working on the show are aware about it,” a source told Us Weekly. “When they all hang out together they’ll cuddle and give a kiss, but it’s nothing obscene.
”On the show, Byers plays Andre Lyon, son of the king of hip-hop, Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard), and ex-wife Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson). Gealey plays Anika Calhouse (a.k.a. Boo Boo Kitty), Lucious' now ex-girlfriend and Cookie's rival.
Empire just wrapped up its first season a few weeks ago.
